Frequently Asked Questions

On each car's page, there are links to book either a driving rental or a production rental. Each link will take you to an external site, either Turo or Giggster. These are reputable, industry-leading car-sharing platforms which handle all payments and insurance selections and set the reservation policies.  Millennial Motors does not normally offer rentals directly to consumers.  

You may either pick up the car at our location in downtown L.A. (DTLA) or we can usually deliver the car anywhere in the Los Angeles region. An extra fee may be required.  See the third-party booking site for more details about our delivery service.

Yes! You can add these and other extras to your reservation.  Examples include: camp chairs, radar detectors, paper maps, beach towels, and more. 

Yes! When ready to book, you can select the option to leave your own car in one of our spots, for a fee.  

Yes! When ready to book, you can select the option to prepay fuel at a reasonable rate so you don't have to worry about it before you return the car.  

You can see the number of miles each car includes, per day, on each car's booking page. Most cars include 200-300 miles per day.  

Since Millennial Motors books through third-party sites, those sites determine the requirements for bookings. We have no control over that process.  

"Driving rentals" are the typical rental option--you pick up and drop off the car at our location (or we deliver it to your location and pick it back up at the end of your trip).  Production rentals are typically for very short duration and usually feature delivery and a driver-attendant.  The booking requirements are much less stringent for "production rentals" since you will not be operating the car. 

You can opt for insurance through the third-party booking sites, if available. Millennial Motors does not offer insurance. In some cases, and for "production rentals" only, we will require you to provide a certificate of insurance separately upon booking. 

Yes! You can see the available discounts on the third-party booking sites. On "driving rentals," we typically offer discounts for trips  3 days or longer, with discounts increasing the longer the trip.  In many cases, we also offer an additional discount if you book 7 days or more in advance. 

You must be proficient at driving a manual-transmission car in order to rent one of our stick-shift cars, with one exception: If you contact us separately, we can provide stick-shift driving lessons in conjunction with a rental of certain cars.
